about me

I fell in love with wedding and event planning in college. Before starting Pure Event Planning & Design, I worked as a wedding coordinator and events manager at several high-end venues around the Minneapolis/St.Paul metro area. These jobs taught me the ins and outs of wedding planning. Turns out, there is a lot more to planning than a guest list and decor (which is why you are here, right?!).

I started Pure Event Planning & Design because my passion in life is making my clients’ lives easier. Planning weddings and events can be stressful and complicated. You should get to have fun while planning your wedding. You should also get to be present for every moment of your special day.

You get married, let me worry about making it happen. By the time your wedding day arrives, I hope we are friends. As such, here are a few things your should know about me:

  1. I love to laugh. Life is too short not to spend it laughing.
  2. I’m a mama to Theo (born Oct. ’17) and Pia (born March ’21). They are mostly home with me, so if we meet during the day you will likely hear their joy. Fun Fact: Theo once streaked through a Zoom call with one of my clients.
  3. I’m allergic to the cold – literally. My doctor thinks we should move somewhere warmer, but I just love Minnesota too much!
  4. I like animals… A LOT. It is okay if you don’t. We can still be friends. Just know if you come to my home office, it’s at my hobby farm. We have three horses (plus a bonus horse + rescue horse), four cats (two inside + two “working cats” in the barn).
  5. I used to have a black thumb, but recently managed to turn it green. If I am not in the office, chances are I can be found in the garden.
